July 10, 2005>>> Rebuilding the homepage: As you all have noticed the updates of the homepage come rarely and the stories are still standing, waiting, hoping, trying - aspiring to get published. We have about 60 stories in cue - and it's been like this for ages now. We know. To find an easier way in keeping up to date with the homepage we are now working on another solution. Wonderfully, helping Robert Cederholm is helping LDU to build up a site where you will be able to upload your stories with a "click". It will make the process faster, easier and more lively. Apart from uploading stories it will also be a more interactive site in general. So yeah, look forward to that! But please be patient: Building a global network takes time - in the end you know it's worth the wait! March 18, 2005>>> New stories!!!: Oh! It was such a long time ago this happened the last time. We know! But now they're here, at least 6 of them: The newly published stories. Read, comment and fill yourself with the words of other lost daughters out there. January 6, 2005>>> Wishes for the new year: For the new year Lost Daughters United wish to spread all over the world. We wish new lost daughters to join and those, who found us already, to stay. We hope to serve as free-zone, as a place for all daughters without a father to breathe out in. We hope that you all will have patience for the film to be done - and the work, with publishing all awaiting stories, to be continued. Furthermore, we hope that lost daughters from all over the world want to continue downloading stickers from our site and go out and make a fatherless revolution; We know that we were not responsible for being rejected or abandoned. We know that we deserve love from other people, even though we might not receive it from our father. That's the truth and it is not really complicated, when you think about it. And last but not least: We hope that you will start visiting the forum on a regular basis. Thanks and Happy New Year! January 5, 2005>>> Newsletter? December 6, 2004>>> Top 4 Latest from the medias: It was a pretty big article in the Danish news paper Politiken some time ago (21/11), which gave good response in terms of stories. And an interview on LDU was broadcasted on Finnish Radio X3M (25/11). Top four countries on the site: Sweden, Denmark, Greece and Finland. Keep linking to LDU! Keep spreading the word! And keep visiting our forum! Click here. November 20, 2004>>> NEW FORUM Finally the new forum is online. It looks great and the only thing missing is the comments from you guys. We hope to hear from you soon! Visit our new forum now! Click here. November 18, 2004>>> Four new stories We still have loads of stories waiting to be published on the site. And to all of you who is wondering WHEN your story will be online., the only thing we can say is: please have patience. In any way, we have actually managed to publish four new stories! Read them here. November 6, 2004>>> New stories from Jeanette (Sweden) and Kristina (Greece) Two new stories are online: When Jeanette was around twenty she saw her dad for the first time. On TV! She sent her story to LDU. After an article in greek Kathimerini we received a short poem from Kristina in Athens. Read their, and other's, stories here. November 6, 2004>>> Greek article in Kathimerini Last week an article about the documentary (and LDU), was published in the greek paper Kathimerini. We have received some e-mails from greek lost daughters, and the statistic reads a higher greek participation than ever. (Still no greek comments in the forum, though...) And talking about the forum... The new one will be here in two weeks! Sorry for the delay. Be good! And keep up the 'sticking'! October 26, 2004>>> Digging into your stories We have started translating, editing and working on the bunch of stories sent in to LDU during our film-production period, so far. There are many stories waiting to be published and we still have a lot to do film and work-wise, so unfortunately it will probably take some time. But just as always we are doing our best! To all of you who is waiting to find YOUR story on the site, the only thing we can ask for is patience. We have not forgotten about you. Neither would we ever forget about your stories. And that's a promise. October 26, 2004>>> New story from Rebbii Rebbii is 12 years old, living in Stockholm. She writes about her dad who rather dissappears with his girlfriend than spending time with his own daughter. Read her, and other's, stories here. October 22, 2004>>> Stickers Finally! Now it's possible to download LDU-stickers from our webpage. What you want to do is clicking yourself to our stickers-section and then to the "order stickers" one. (Or simply click here!) You would probably need some stickers-paper for your printer, as well - you can buy that in most book-shops. If you have problems with this - it's still possible to order the stickers by mail from us (read further instructions on the stickers-page). Due to a tremendous amount of orders, though - it's impossible for us to keep giving the stickers away for free. Unfortunately. We would, if we could! Good luck and keep up the "sticking"! October 16, 2004>>> Forum information There has been some complications with the forum lately. This might be partly due to the lack of "rules" or so to say the lack of guiding principles on how to look at, and act, in the forum. It is important to remember that the forum is here for US, the lost daughters. And the vivid discussion about fathers that are fighting for the right to see their daughters - while being prevented by their mothers - should probably go elsewhere. LDU cannot stand for everything and our focus will always be on the daughters. We are here to establish our right to our emotions and our right to express them, without having anyone telling us it's wrong. Because it's not. A new forum is on its' way. Please be patient. And thanks for your participation! It's great that LDU has grown so rapidly lately. Really really great! October 16, 2004>>> Back in business OK. We're back. After a long long break we are here again. I have been travelling around, filming in Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Greece. It's been a long way, some really hard work - but a fantastic experience. It's still very busy with the documentary, and it will still take some time before we can start translating stories and do updates on the stickers-section. Hope you understand. September 8, 2004>>> Comments on the forum We say that English is a good language, just because we know that there are people from a lot of different countries reading it. Still, we also have to understand that most people at the moment are Swedes. Therefore, we don't want to force you writing in English - especially not if that means you're not writing at all! In other words, it's ok to write in whatever language you want to. Don't let any language obstacles prevent you from letting go; share your thoughts, words or whatever it might be. We are still receiving a lot of e-mails every day, and know that some of you still feel uncomfortable writing 'in public'. Maybe it's not as scary as you might think. Maybe it's really cool? In any way, it's great that LDU has grown so much lately and we are now working on the Danes to find us as well! Take care, and keep up the writing! September 8, 2004>>> Publishing and sticker-orders During the days in Canada we have received a lot of e-mails with new stories and orders for stickers. A big thank you to all of you! As we've said before it will be a bit difficult to publish stories, or send stickers out, until we're done with the shootings - which will be in the beginning of October. Sorry about that, but we simply don't have the time. Please be patient. It will be a lot of new stuff in October, though. We also have some new photographs of stickers to online! September 8, 2004>>> A little break in Copenhagen We've finished the shootings in Vancouver now, and headed back for Copenhagen on Tuesday. In the end everything went well. No forgotten tapes, no stolen cameras, no crappy sound. Big thanks to Jsabelle for her participation! And thanks for all the e-mails we've received from you to wish us good luck! We have today and tomorrow off, and will then film some with Amia here in Copenhagen. It'll be cool. September 8, 2004>>> Docu news Remember it's still possible to read the latest on the documentary here! August 26, 2004>>> Soon to depart Tomorrow we're off to Canada. This means that we'll be very busy with the documentary production from tomorrow on, and therefore it won't be possible for us to send out stickers, publish stories or update the site in general for a while. This doesn't mean that you can't order stickers or send in your stories - please do! - and we will take care of it all as soon as possible. Please also continue writing in the forum, comment on stories and spread the word. There are so many lost daughters out there (not only in Sweden)! We get e-mails all the time from daughters who want to talk about their situation. For the latest info about the documentary: Click here! August 25, 2004>>> Metro After an article in Metro we've received loads of e-mails again! It's great to know you appreciate the site. Only yesterday more than 200 visited the domains of Lost Daughters United. You are all more than welcome! August 15, 2004>>> New page about the documentary OK. Now a new page is kind of ready to get online on LDU's site. As some of you might know we are going into production very soon. And we thought that it might be interesting for you guys to follow the creation. Click here and read more! Another link to the page will come sooner than later. August 11, 2004>>> We love publicity! It has happened again. Lots of new girls are on the site! This time it is due to the Swedish magazine BON that e-mails are dropping down in our inbox. We are really happy for your engagement and look forward to reading your stories and comments on the site. In other words, we would like to welcome all "new" lost daughters! Please make yourself at home. July 11, 2004>>> New stories from Helen and Elin As a result from the small letter in Aftonbladet, two new stories popped up in our inbox the other day. Read about Helen who has a father with drinking problems, and about Elin - whos father died from a heart attack. We are grateful for your stories, as always. Thanks and take care! July 10, 2004>>> Lost daughters from Sweden The network has been well represented by the Swedes for quite a while, and during the last days we have received a lot of mails from Swedish lost daughters. This showed being due to a private correspondant in the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. Thanks to you, who wrote it - whoever you are! We could really tell a difference in the number of visits that day. July 2, 2004>>> New story from Jsabelle Go to the stories section to take part in the story about a father who was there physically but never showed his daughter any love. June 24, 2004>>> Prague Please go to the stickers section to find new photographs of stickers from Prague, Czech Republic! LDU want to thank Elisabeth for the pictures and encourage all of you, who is out there, to order stickers and join the fatherless revolution! Til next time: take care! June 23, 2004>>> Networking According to the statistics the LDU webpage has had hits from: Denmark, Sweden, USA, Greece, Norway, Seyshelles, Japan, New Zealand, Italy, Australia, Finland, United Kingdom, Israel, Iceland, Portugal, Canada, Netherlands and Switzerland. We know that it takes time for a network to establish itself., but we are on our way! There are lots of visitors on the site, even though only a few leave comments or stories behind them. We want to thank all of you who has talked about and linked to LDU. It helps! May 26, 2004>>> Photographs of stickers all around the world! Please click yourself to the stickers section and then to the photographs of stickers all around the world. You will find new pictures from England, Uruguay, Finland and one from a secret place in Sweden. LDU want to thank all of you who has sent in your photographs! It's great! Keep up the good work! Go out decorate your town, your bedroom or the bus stop around the corner. May 26, 2004>>> Forum and comments! Just a reminder.., of the possibility to leave and read comments, both in the forum and in the stories section. May 19, 2004>>> Update I'm sorry that I've kept you waiting for so long. But now they're online: Five new stories. It took some time, but it was worth it. Find them under the stories/read stories - section. Thanks to you all! And please keep up the writing. We are, by the way, working hard in order to publish all new photographs of stickers around the world. Let's hope they'll be onlined a-bit-sooner-than-later. Take Care! May 5, 2004>>> Thanks! During the last two days LDU has received 4 new stories! This is a record! So we want to thank Lisa, Lillemor, Anna and Jeanette for your pieces. The stories will be online as soon as possible, but it might take a little while since there are a lot of things to be done at the moment. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks and to give a little hey-you-can-do-it-too-wink to all of you who's trying to make up your mind, whether you wanna write or not. We really hope you will! April 29, 2004>>> Comment on stories! Finally it is possible leaving, and reading, comments on the published stories. By clicking yourself to the read stories section, it should be easy to drop a word or two! Please feel free to! Looking forward to some action! Or just some small discussions... By the way, some of the comments are "old" ones - so the dates are inaccurate. April 28, 2004>>> Publicity Yesterday an article on LDU was published in Swedish newspaper GT. Another piece of good news, is that Swedish Konstnärsnämnden (the Arts Grants Commitee) recently gave funds to the documentary project based on the LDU-concept. We'll apply for more money, of course - but this is a start! If you're interested in participating, just write us an e-mail. March 12, 2004>>> New site? If everything turns out the way I hope to, the new site will be online by Tuesday next week. Anyway, you will notice some changes - and I hope you'll like it! February 26, 2004>>> Under construction & Thanks! I just wanted to say thanks to all of you whom we've received e-mails and "sticker orders" from. It's really cool knowing you're into the project and I understand that writing your stories takes time and thoughtfulness.
