Charlotte has met her father |

Charlotte decided not to stay in contact with her father |

Charlotte's father has a new family |
I am 38 years old.
When I was 12 years old my parents got divorced.
When I was 33 years old I learned that my father was not my biological father.
When I was 38 years old I met my biological father.
I do not have any contact with my biological father nor do I have contact with the "father" I grew up with.
ItÂ's not long ago since I met with my biological father - August 2006.
It was a great shock to me to find out about the secrets and lies in our family.
So when I found out about my biological father I waited 5 years before I decided to meet him.
I do not regret this meeting with him, I think it was very important for me (and most probably for him) - BUT the meeting learned me one thing: DNA and blood is not as important as the people with whom you share a history and childhood with, the people who were there - around you during your adolescence, childhood, life....
It was a good meeting, but I did NOT feel anything.
I decided this one meeting was enough.
I am relieved that I met him, saw him, talked to him, listened to his story, his life etc. BUT there were No feelings from my side, no desire to meet again and start a family life now - and I was not curious about a future with him as a father ....
I feel it is too late, and there is ONLY DNA between us.
I have no bad feelings for him - but I am very sure about my decision and feel good and confident about this decision.
By accident I watched a Swedish Channel tonight (which I normally never do, sorry Sweden ha ha) and my tears were running down my cheeks during the program and I decided to visit this web page.
Here I am sharing my story and ready to read yours.....
Must admit that I could recognize all the feelings that is described at this page!!
The best to all of you!
