Have never met my father Clara has never met her father
Would like to meet my father Clara would like to meet her father
There is a saying Ā'Ā'you can not miss what you have never hadĀ'Ā'. This i believe is true.

I have never met my father, he could have contacted me, but never has. this is not entirely his own fault.

I was born in London in 1989, my mother from strabane in ireland my father from Poland. My mother was unaware she was pregnant with twins, she misscarried one and informed my father that she was no longer pregnant. he went back to poland for that christmas where he spent it with another woman and i believeĀ Ā his visa ran out shortly after that.

5 months into my mothers pregnancy she found out she was still pregnant and was very shocked. she did not contact my father until i was over 1 year old, by this time we had moved to ireland, she sent him pictures and gave him our new address, but i never recieved a reply, although we mved to another house shortly after then, so we may just have missed his reply.

i do not know my fathers full name, his first name was lejack (do not know how to spell) and he would now be in his 50Ā's. i also know i have a half-sister who is 8 years older than me.

i have always felt loved and if i was to meet my father i do not think it would b for a relationship, more out of curiousity to what he looks like, did he deliberatly not want to contact me.

i have never lost out in life due to the fact i do not know my father. i believe it has made me a stronger person.

I do feel some spite at my father, but it is not for leaving me, but for how he treated my mother.  I do agree with you though, on how you can not miss what you never had.  I never had a father figure, and feel my mother has raised me to be a stronger woman because of his absence.  I am getting married in June, but feel that women do not need men in their lives to be complete. My mother taught me all I need to know, and I feel I have less "male issues" than the girls I know who grew up with fathers.

I know what you mean about less male issues, I find that I am the same! Maybe not having a father is a blessing in diguise? Fate etc? As long as you have a strong mother to guide you and a happy life that is all you need. I hope you had a beauiftul wedding although it was a while ago!

the saying is absolutely something I believe in, as well. I mean, I donĀ't think that IĀ've missed out on all that much in my life, thereĀ's just been better days and worse days, nothing more complicated than that. Of course IĀ've been wondering from time to time if IĀ'm anything like him, if we look alike, what heĀ's like. IĀ'm a huge music fan, and listening to music is something that has helped me through a lot of things. Well, not only the music, but itĀ's a big part of my life. ThereĀ's especially one song that I have a special "bond" to is the song Daughters by John Mayer. ItĀ's just a song I can really relate to, and understand the song and its meaning.
